The new track marks the reggaeton producer’s third single this year, after tapping Feid and Myke Towers for “El Cielo” in June
Sky Rompiendo and Dei V are bringing their crushes to the tropics. On Thursday, the producer-musician pair released their collaboration “Crush” along with its new music video — and a special reggaetonero friend makes an appearance.
The Andy Hines-directed video opens with Sky Rompiendo and a group of female friends walking down a grassy mountain, before panning to Dei V, who’s caught singing to to a love interest on a jet ski. The producer and musician ride the waves and dance along to the track’s catchy beat.
The video abruptly transitions to Sky arriving at a friend’s house. The friend in question? Arcangel, who joins in for a surprise spoken verse and a rendition of the chorus at the end of the track: “Yo no quierop que te vayas/Tampoco que te quedes.”
Sky Rompiendo has been teasing the new track on Instagram for several days, sharing clips of him hiking through a field as a muffled version of the song plays in the background. “No veo la hora,” he wrote on Instagram earlier this week, sharing a clip of him and Dei recording the track.
The artist has been releasing collaborations with top stars this year. His last single, “El Cielo” featured vocals from Feid and Myke Towers. He also dropped “Uno de Eses Gatos” with San Senra earlier this year.
The three tracks are the producer’s first foray into making his own releases since tapping frequent collaborator Feid for “Chimbita” in 2020. That year, he also recorded “Ponte Pa’ Mi” with Rauw Alejandro and Myke Towers.
As for Dei V, he recently released “Tu$$i” with Yovngchimi and dropped singles “Notón” with Chris Jedi and “Trending Remix” with Myke Towers. He also joined Karol G on Bichota Season‘s “Gatita Gangster.”
